Copa America second semi-final and the GRAND FINAL
Posted 30. june 2015
In the first semi-final the host Chile managed to get a 2:1 victory against Peru and as the Copa America matches have shown us, there were a red card shown as well. Peru's defender Zambrano had a hard foul and got a red card early in the game, leaving hes team one man short for the rest of the match. Chile took the advantage and secured a spot in the final.
In the second semi-final Argentina and Paraguay meet for the second time at Copa América 2015, but this time the stakes have been raised from their initial group-stage clash. La Albirroja came from behind in their opening fixture against La Albiceleste, with two second-half goals helping them earn an important point in a 2-2 draw. La Albiceleste are bidding to win the title for the first time since 1993 and end a run of 22 years without a senior trophy, but with Lionel Messi, Sergio Agüero and Javier Mascherano all a booking away from a ban that would rule them out of a potential final, they cannot run too many risks. The match will be fierce - may be we'll see another red card?
